Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has left her co-stars 'jealous' as she showed off her fresh new look on social media. The actress, who is known for playing Shona Platt in the ITV soap, hasn't been seen on-screen as much of late following her maternity leave.
Back in November, Julia shared the wonderful news that she and her husband Ben Silver had welcomed a daughter and shared a sweet snap of the trio as they prepared to bring the newborn home from the hospital. The soap star gushed that she and Ben were 'absolutely elated' to have a baby girl and said their firstborn son Franklin was 'besotted' by the newborn.
Confirming her birth date and name, Julia typed: "On Saturday our little girl arrived. We’re absolutely elated and Franklin is besotted with his little sister, Emmeline Beanie Silver. She’s perfect."
But amid her duties as a doting mum-of-two, Julia did manage to sneak in some time for herself this week and popped out to the salon. Afterwards, she posted a video of herself sat in the hairdressing chair as she swished her brunette locks that had been styled into classic curls.
"When your bestie is also a hairdresser!" she captioned the post before adding: "I love a fresh cut." And while she didn't undergo any major changes, her Corrie co-stars were quick to gush over her freshly chopped locks. Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley, replied: "Ugh stooopop it," with a love heart eyes emoji.
On-screen husband David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd commented: "Best feature." Georgia Taylor, who stars as Toyah Habeeb in the ITV soap, said: "Glorious." Rovers Return landlady Sally Ann Matthews joked in response to Julai's caption: "And can cut out tangles….. Soz about that." While Leanne Battersby star Jane Danson added: "Not jealous at all …… obviously a big fat lie - Oh to have that hair."
And her fans and followers were loving it too. @erinxo13 said: "This is like a shampoo commercial. Amazing. @thecheshiregay commented: "Beautiful you better have taken that hair out for a night on the town." @misssazzlepot replied: "I was drooling throughout that whole clip."
