ITV Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher dubbed a 'blonde bombshell' as she debuts new look for Dancing On Ice

Coronation Street Mollie Gallagher has been dubbed a 'blonde bombshell' as she debuted a brand new look while preparing for her first appearance on Dancing On Ice. The actress is one of eleven celebrities who will be taking to the ice when the show returns next week.

The new series, which begins on ITV on Sunday, January 15, sees the return of three Dancing on Ice favourites – Sylvain Longchambon, who last skated in the 2019 series, and Vicky Ogden and Klabera Komini who both last skated in the 2021 series. The dancers and their celebrity partners will once again be judged by Olympian skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo and former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse.

And as the first images of the celebrities competing in Dancing On Ice 2023 have been revealed by ITV, Mollie's co-stars and fans couldn't help but gush over her new look as she took to Instagram with her official images ahead of the new series.

The soap star, who plays Nina Lucas in the ITV soap, looked worlds away from her character's usual gothic-inspired appearance as she ditched her signature black tresses for a bleach blonde look.

Mollie, 25, previously underwent a change to her hairdo by adding an icy blonde section to frame her face. However, it appears she has gone the whole hog this time as she showed off her dazzling locks while donning an equally stunning silver and black-trimmed dress.

She could also been seen alongside her professional skating partner Sylvain, who is actually married to Mollie's Corrie co-star Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass in the ITV soap, after the pair met on the show many years ago.

Captioning her snaps on Instagram, Mollie typed: "DANCING ON ICE. It’s nearly here and I’m so excited." She went on: "Been having the best time the past couple of months and we are excited for everyone to watch woooo," before adding a plug: "Starts 15th January 2023 @itv."

And the compliments quickly came flooding in. Former co-star Millie Gibson, who played Kelly Neelan in Corrie until September last year, wrote: "My lil blonde ice queen wowza." Daisy Midgley actress Charlotte Jordan replied: "OH MOL you look amazing!!" Tanisha Gorey, who plays on-screen partner Asha Alahan, said: "my LOVE!!! I’m so excited!!!!!!!"

Jack James Ryan, who plays the ITV soap's Jacob Hay, posted: "Blonde Bombshell yeh!?!?!" Samia also responded: "C an’t wait!! You’re both gonna be mega! X." While fellow DOI star, former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, added: "Gorgeous girl."

Fans were also rushing to respond. @shawtystuff1 said: "Cannot wait for this you'll be fabulous @mollie.gallagher_." @jco604 commented: "Go Mollie, rooting for you." @andrea.bayes.1 replied: "Mollie you look amazing can not wait to see you on Dancing On Ice @mollie.gallagher_ sending lots of love."

Completing the line-up are RuPaul’s Drag Race UK The Vivienne, West End musicals performer Carley Stenson, former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, comedian Darren Harriott, and The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran.

Dancing On Ice returns on January 15 at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
