ITV Coronation Street's Max Turner rushed to hospital as fans spot blunder

Coronation Street viewers spotted a blunder as Max Turner was rushed to hospital.

Friday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout after the character, played by Paddy Bever, confessed he was responsible for spiking Amy Barlow. Max had a row with David Platt after his confession, who proceeded to confiscate his phone.

Max intended to run away in the latest episode of the ITV show - and broke into the barbers to retrieve his phone. However, he lacerated his leg on the broken glass in the door and required medical attention.

Max was found just in time by Jacob Hay, who performed first aid on the character to restrict his blood loss. Simon Barlow called an ambulance while he received medical attention and he was soon taken to hospital by the paramedics.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted at the speed in which the ambulance arrived.

Jemma said: "Amazing how quick the ambulance crew arrive in the soaps."

Elizabeth added: "Of course in the magic of soapland an ambulance will arrive in seconds."

Garry tweeted: "And the ambulance is here in seconds. Typical Soaps."

Penny commented : "Ambulance service in Weatherfield is sodding unbelievable! Arrived so fast I got whiplash!"

Coronation Street airs at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV and ITV Hub
