Coronation Street stars took a day off their busy schedule to see cast member Sam Ashton marry Briony Gardner in a spring wedding.
Inside the life of Coronation Street star Sam Aston and his wife Briony - a world away from Chesney'swed his childhood sweetheart after he popped the question in June 2017.
Not missing out on their big day, the couple were joined by fellow co-stars Brooke Vincent, Jennie McAlpine and Katie McGlynn.
Speaking to OK Magazine , Sam said: "When I turned around and saw Briony, I thought she looked unbelievably beautiful.
"The ceremony was a surreal experience – it was joy on the highest level.
"I had to compose myself when I said my vows, I could feel a lump in my throat.
Briony added: "The whole day was perfect. I didn’t stop crying! I didn’t think Sam would be as emotional as he was."
Sam said their first dance was an acro-yoga routine that he and yoga teacher Briony learnt and choreographed before the wedding.
He said: "I almost dropped Briony at the end of our first dance!"
Speaking about their future, Sam said: "I’m a worrier at times and I get anxious and overthink things. I wouldn’t say I suffer from anxiety but I’m sensitive.
"Briony’s a really strong person. She knows how to calm me down and bring me back to myself.
"She’s just my best friend. After a day at Corrie, I’m desperate to get home to Briony – we don’t like being apart.
"I feel like the luckiest man alive".
