ITV Coronation Street fans thrilled Yasmeen stabbed Geoff but some think he's not dead

Coronation Street fans were thrilled tonight as Yasmeen stabbed Geoff - but some fans think the abusing husband might not be dead.

Viewers have watched Geoff abuse Yasmeen for months, forcing her to eat food out of the bin, and locking her in a magic box, despite her severe claustrophobia.

Geoff became increasingly controlling, making the once confident Yasmeen a shell of her former self.

Viewers have begged for an end to the storyline, as Yasmeen was subjected to more extreme forms of abuse and tonight saw her reach the end of her tether.

Tonight's episode saw Geoff serve up Yasmeen breakfast at 8am, she said she was poorly and couldn't eat it, but Geoff served the same meal up for lunch cold and forced her to eat it.

He also took her phone and laptop away from her "for her own good."

The couple got dressed up for a night with Sally and Tim, despite Yasmeen still pleading she was unwell.

During the conversation Yasmeen discovered that Geoff had lent Tim and Sally money for the wedding and they went back home arguing, with Geoff locking her in the house.

Geoff came back late at night and the pair got into a huge argument, before Yasmeen stabbed him with a wine bottle.

Viewers were thrilled Yasmeen had finally fought back - but some were worried he wasn't dead.

Tori Faulkner said: "OMG that was horrific! Poor yasmeen, broke my heart. He better be dead!!"

Natasha Bowey said: "Omfg please let him be dead!!!!!!!!!!"

Richard said: "I hope he's dead. Absolute scumbag."

dmarie said: "I’m not a violent person, but thank f**k for that! I hope that evil b*****D is dead, my heart is breaking for Yasmeen."
