ITV Coronation Street fans think they've spotted Kevin's 'long-lost brother' in soap

Fans think they've spotted Kevin Webster's 'long lost brother' in the latest episode of Coronation Street. Viewers took another trip to Weatherfield on Friday night (July 29), where the mechanic was anxiously waiting to find out if he had been charged after smashing up Stephen Reid's car.

Earlier this week Corrie fans watched in surprise as Kevin snapped. The character, played by Michael Le Vell in the ITV soap, has put himself under a lot of pressure of late as wife Abi returned home with son Alfie.

He also had to deal with his son Jack who felt forgotten by his dad while also being bullied at school. There was heartbreak for Kevin when he learned that Jack was being picked on after someone found out Tyrone initially thought he was Jack’s dad.

During Wednesday night's Corrie, Kevin's mood didn't improve as he rushed to make sure the house was ready for a social worker's visit before Abi could return with Alfie. Jack, however, told his dad that he's not looking forward to Abi coming back, because Kevin hardly pays him any attention as it is.

Later, at the garage, Kevin let new recruit Aaron work on Stephen's car only for it to break down moments after it left the garage, leaving the customer furious. Stephen hit out at Kevin, but it ended up being the last straw for the garage owner and he snapped, picking up a wrench and smashing up Stephen’s car.

He was then arrested and as he apologised at the station, agreeing to speak to Stephen and fix his car, Kevin was informed that he could still be charged with criminal damage. Luckily for Kevin, he found out during Friday's trip to the cobbles that Stephen decided not to press charges.

The police paid Kevin a visit at home to give him the good news but as Kev breathed a sigh of relief, he was quick to usher the cops away in case Abi saw. One of the policemen, however, caught viewers' eye and they were quickly flocking to social media to comment.

@elliottsma tweeted: "Is that Kevin's stunt double playing a cop in #Corrie." @tommufc9524 said: "That copper looks like Kevin's long lost brother #Corrie." @LilMissMystic commented: "Does anyone else think that Kevin and the arresting Copper look similar? The only things that are separating them are their differing accents and hairlines #Corrie."

@mikepriestley13 said during Kevin's earlier outburst: "Kevin’s secret copper brother turned up to arrest him #Corrie @itvcorrie." But it prompted a surprise response as another viewer reminded the Twitter user: "Oooh, is that Carl Webster??" to which the reply read: "Didn’t know Kevin had a brother I was just joking because he looks so like Kevin."
