ITV Coronation Street viewers were shocked tonight to see Daniel make a surprising decision.
Coronation Street returned this evening, with an episode focused on VE Day, as the popular soap has been staggering episodes recorded before the coronavirus pandemic.
Daniel Osbourne has been struggling ever since the death of his wife Sinead Tinker last year, after she lost her battle with cervical cancer.
And new scenes introducing character Nicky aired last week, with Daniel getting to know the mystery woman before she revealed she was an escort.
Adam Barlow had taken his uncle Daniel for a night out and was pleased to see him connecting with Nicky - but Daniel was unimpressed to discover she was talking to him potentially for money.
He walked away from her in Friday's episode but tonight, he knocked on her hotel room door and entered.
Viewers were stunned and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
