ITV Coronation Street fans spot 'iconic' detail in episode as Geoff falls to his 'death'

Coronation Street fans spotted a poignant detail as evil Geoff appeared to fall to his death tonight.

Tonight's episode was the soap's 60th anniversary and was filled with drama.

The episode saw Geoff set a fire in his and Yasmeen's house as his life crumbled around him.

Yasmeen ran upstairs to get away from the flames and Geoff followed her, with the pair ending up on the roof.

Yasmeen tried to crawl across, with Geoff tailing behind her.

Alya then appeared as Geoff threatened the pair of them.

Geoff then fell slightly down the roof and begged Yasmeen to help him.

Alya told her not to, but Yasmeen threw her scarf down to him in an effort to pull him up.

But her efforts were in vain as Geoff fell from the roof and onto the patio beneath.

The pair heard the loud thud and Alya told her not to look.

But the camera panned down to a dead-looking Geoff, surrounded by chickens.

Viewers were thrilled to see the abuser's demise and thought it was especially poignant that the chickens were there to witness it, after Geoff cruelly killed and roasted their sibling Charlotte Bronte.
