Coronation Street fans slammed Steve McDonald tonight as he went directly against doctors' advice.
Steve and Leanne were worried as Oliver lay in a hospital bed with mitochondrial disease.
The worried dad was told by doctors not to google the condition as it was complicated.
But Steve went against the advice and immediately searched the internet.
He came up with lots of information and immediately began to harass doctors for more information on Oliver's condition.
And viewers were not impressed with his actions, especially when he began to get angry at staff.
Dean said: "I wish soap operas would stop undermining the NHS. Stop making characters want a second opinion or if something doesn't go their way make them 'decide to go private.' Stop undermining the NHS, start promoting it and the work it does."
Steve said: "That's it Steve berate the NHS staff member."
Dion said: "Steve the doctors don’t magically know what’s wrong with people straight away."
Alan said: "I'm glad Steve is taking the doctors advice in board and not looked at the internet. Oh wait..."
Westie said: " Steve, you shouldn’t have looked online!"
And St Mick said : " Wind it in, Steve. That’s not the way this works."
