ITV Coronation Street fans say 'this is going to get dark' as they work out Hope's next move after Beth snap

Coronation Street fans have said 'this is going to get dark' as they worked out Hope Stape's next move after she caught Beth Sutherland cheating on her husband, Kirk. The war between the schoolgirl and Underworld machinist has been brewing for months in the ITV soap.

It started when Hope falsely claimed she'd been bit by Beth's beloved dog Peanut after claiming the pooch had killed her new pet chinchilla, Cilla. When Beth found out the truth, in an unaired moment, Beth slapped Hope but lied about her shock act when Hope told her parents.

However, later, Beth was forced to come clean to Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs and the pair initially refused to forgive her, despite her apologies to both them and Hope, until they softened for Kirk's sake. But the 'feud' between Beth and Hope may be back on as the youngster appeared to get a photo of the moment Beth kissed her former flame.

Beth has been secretly communicating with her former partner and the pair enjoyed a drink together behind Kirk's back in previous scenes. Then during Monday night's (April 17) trip to the cobbles, Beth met with Marco again, this time heading to the precinct to enjoy a milkshake.

As their flirty behaviour continued, they decided to share a ride on the swings and Marco finally made his feelings clear as he confessed he wants to get back with her. There was then an unfortunate spillage of their drinks and Beth was forced to grab some clothes from the charity shop and change, with him acting as a modesty shield, before getting her bus home.

And it wasn't long before Marco leaned in for a kiss and after touching lips, a flustered Beth made a hasty retreat, but not before they were seemingly caught, unknowingly, by Hope. Corrie fans were quick to rush to social media to comment as they predicted what was to come, and they doubt it'll be good news for Beth.
