ITV Coronation Street fans question Spider's police job after spotting problem

Coronation Street viewers questioned Spider's police job tonight after spotting a problem.

The undercover cop was exposed on Tuesday as he tried to find out what Griff was really up to. As he arrived at Griff's, Spider spotted a brown suspicious box.

Griff said he planned to give Maria "peace" which prompted Spider to call the police and tell him what he knew. However, Griff was one step ahead of him and had planted a decoy.

Later, Spider was called to meet Max in the alleyway, but he instead found Griff, who knew who Spider really was.

Spider was then brutally attacked by Griff, leaving him with serious injuries. However, tonight's episode saw to Toyah’s dismay, Spider discharge himself from hospital, determined to help the police find Griff and bring him to justice.

But viewers at home questioned why there would be no police officers at the hospital given Spider's position. Andrea tweeted: "Spider, injured in the line of duty and not one copper at hospital #corrie."

Pam said: "Where is Spider's handler? Plus no policemen guarding the door. Clearly not all that important to the force #Corrie."

And Georgia added: "#Corrie Should Spider not have a police guard at the hospital?"
