ITV Coronation Street fans left crying with laughter after innuendo filled episode

Coronation Street fans were left crying with laughter tonight, after an innuendo-ridden episode.

Tonight's installment of the ITV soap got off to a cheeky start as Michelle suggested to Robert that she wanted to stay in bed with him all day.

Robert didn't seem keen and she said: "Well you weren't complaining last night, or this morning for that matter."

Robert said he wasn't the "duracell bunny" and in a chat with another Cobbles resident they told Robert to "keep it up" and Michelle said she had been advising exactly the same thing.

The next scene moved onto Steve's birthday, where he was opening his birthday presents at the table with Amy.

Tracey then came in and they joked that Steve might be getting something special from her.

And fans were quick to notice the saucy language.

Steve and Tracey joked around (ITV)

One said: "very adult themed episode - new writer???"

Another said: "There's a lot of sex talk tonight (crying laughing face emoji)"

A third said: "Best innuendo this show has ever produced. Even if I felt my dinner come up."

And a fourth joked: "Sex talk at this time, I'm calling Ofcom."
