ITV Coronation Street fans disturbed by Hope's treatment of toy doll

Coronation Street fans were left horrified tonight, as Hope played with her doll in the factory.

Hope had run off from Fizz and Tyrone to the abandoned factory and despite hearing Tyrone shouting her, she chose to sit down and play with her doll.

But then things took a dark turn as she ripped the doll's head off - leading fans to suggest she was took after her father serial killer John Stape.

Hope and Fizz have just returned from Birmingham where Hope attended a school that specialised in dealing with troubled children.

But it looks like Hope still has lots of issues, if her behaviour around her doll is any indication.

And viewers took to Twitter in their hundreds following the scenes.

Andy Gibson said: "Hope Stape is going to be a serial killer when she's older."

Chantal said: "Hope definitely takes after her father."

DW Jones said: "See that Hope the Devil child (or Ope as Tyrone seems to be calling her) is following in her biological fathers footsteps."

And Holly Welch said: "As people have already said, Hope has so much of John Stape in her, it's scary! That evil smirk."
