ITV Coronation Street fans confused by Mary Taylor's very different look

Coronation Street's Mary is well known for her outlandish ways, but tonight she stunned fans with her new look.

Mary is usually dressed in bright clothes, but tonight saw her ditch her usual attire for an all black look.

Mary took her role as stage manager in the school play very seriously, as she also donned a silvery theatrical scarf, that she swished about throughout the episode.

And viewers were particularly surprised by Mary's sparkly headband, with some people thinking she looked like a fortune teller.

Travel Princess 99 said: "Mary looks like a seaside fortune teller with that scarf on her head."

Dion said: "Is Mary taking a job as a fortune teller #Corrie ."

Dev opened a package containing the abrasive cream and heartbreakingly asked his daughter what on earth she'd been doing and why.

Despite Mary's distracting new appearance the episode saw Asha's skin lightening saga finally come to light, after Mary told Dev she was very worried about his daughter.
