ITV Coronation Street fans confused as Tyrone lashes out again in sudden change

Tyrone Dobbs has been letting his fists do the talking again as he lashed out for a second time in Coronation Street. The mechanic, played by Alan Halsall, has been feeling the pressure to help get a book about partner Fiz's late ex-husband John Stape from being published.

The pair have been under strain in recent weeks after they discovered a mystery tipster has gone to the press with a book they have written all about Fiz's killer ex. At first, Tyrone was sure it was Fiz's jilted ex, Phill Whittaker, leaking the information after it was revealed earlier this year that he was gathering information on John to write a book.

However, it soon came out that it was Fiz's daughter Hope that had been divulging information to her 'friend' on her game, who goes by the name Mad Dog. While Tyrone was furious, Fiz kept reminding her daughter that what has since happened wasn't her fault. The couple have since been doing all they can to halt production of the book, and stop any articles being written concerning Hope.

After enlisting the help of Adam Barlow, Fiz appeared to have made huge strides by sitting down with the publisher and playing at her maternal heartstrings to get the parts about Hope withdrawn from the book. As Fiz and Adam prepared to celebrate in the Bistro, Tyrone head found out the author of the book was doing a Q&A at a hotel.

He stormed out of work and headed to the venue and heard the writer discussing his theory that Fiz was complicit in John's hideous crimes. And so Tyrone wasted no time in getting up on stage and slapping the man who had put pen to paper. While Adam headed to the police station, Fiz convinced the author not to press chargers.

But a video of Tyrone's outburst went viral and the publishers told Fiz that not only were they going to go ahead and publish the book, they were bringing the release date forward leaving her devastated.

Tyrone's outburst comes just a week after he lashed out at Nick Tilsley. In scenes aired last week, there was panic for Tyrone and Fiz after the latter got a phone call from daughter Hope's school to say that she had gone missing. Hope was eventually tracked down to Victoria Gardens where she was with Sam Blakeman.

Nick's son explained to Fiz that Hope had been upset when some girls at school teased her over her real dad and so he decided to walk Hope home. While Fiz tried to be sympathetic over Sam's well-meaning actions, she told the schoolboy she had been worried sick and he should have brought her home.

However, Nick interrupted just as Fiz was saying this to Sam and he ended up telling her off for "shouting" at his son. Nick then ordered his son to stay away from Hope and later, upon hearing about the confrontation with Nick, Tyrone saw red. He stormed out and headed over to Nick's flat and as his neighbour answered the door, Tyrone punched him right in the face.

And Tyrone's latest behaviour has got Corrie fans confused. @bodeyk123 tweeted: "Why does Tyrone keep going round hitting people , why have Corrie turned him into a complete idiot #corrie." @foreverabluecfc posted: "Lol who does Tyrone think he is all of a sudden #Corrie."

@SmalesRachel shared: "Would Tyrone really start suddenly being violent? Particularly given his history with Kirsty? Its not really in keeping with his character #Corrie."

@tomasibray wrote: "Tyrone's having a punch about tonight ? What's with him Rocky 6 #Corrie." Paul Guest typed on Facebook: "It's understandable that Tyrone is furious over that book. Do the writers have to make him so violent though? He hasn't always used his fists instead of his head."
