Coronation Street fans were left concerned for Craig Tinker after spotting worrying signs on tonight's episode.

Viewers saw Beth drop a cake round for Craig, but his expression revealed his insecurities about taking it.

Accepting the cake, Craig pointed out that he could really do with losing some weight.

Later in the episode, Brian hotfoots it from the Kabin after a shoplifter, Craig, on duty as a police officer, gave chase but soon found himself out of breath and gave up.

Craig then confided in Kirk how his colleagues at work make jibes about his size and it’s time he did something about it.

He said: "They call me GBB. Ginger Beach Ball."

Craig revealed that he intended to get fit and take up running.

And at Toyah’s insistence, Imran found himself agreeing to join Craig on his fitness routine, after joking he was 'going to die'.

However, viewers were concerned for Craig's health and mental wellbeing, taking to Twitter to discuss.
