ITV Coronation Street fans concerned after Yasmeen's 'defeated' return

ITV Coronation Street fans were left feeling concerned for Yasmeen after the character returned to our screens this evening.

In tonight's visit to the cobbles, Steve and Leanne joined forces to give Oliver "a fighting chance" while Billy confided his worries about Paul to David, and Sally and Tim planned a secret wedding.

Later, Alya went to visit her Gran in prison, marking Yasmeen's return - much to viewers delight.

Yasmeen appeared to have lost a lot of weight, causing Alya and viewers to be concerned for her health and mental state. Alya revealed the trial looked likely to take place in early December.

Yasmeen and Alya talked about their money worries, with Yasmeen suggesting Geoff may remove Alya from the business account to make their legal battle all the more difficult.

Yasmeen said: "Some days I can barely string a sentence together."

But Alya was keen to convince her Gran of her inner strength and her ability to win and escape conviction. She said: "When you win, you're going to be free of Geoff for the rest of your life."

Yasmeen said: "Bless you. You almost sound as if you mean it."

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
