Coronation Street fans called out Doctor Ali in tonight's episode for his poor medical 'examination' of Emma.
The Rovers Return barmaid told Maria that she felt ill in the morning and had pain in her stomach.
Thinking it was a hangover Emma dismissed it, however Gary attempted to take her to the walk-in-centre.
Saying they were too busy Emma returned to work before doubling over with pain.
Maria phoned ex-boyfriend and medical professional Ali for his advice.
However, upon seeing her, he chose not to examine her - stating it was most likely food poisoning.
Viewers could not believe how unprofessional Ali was, and many called him out.
Martin said: "Ali better go n get some doctoring done."
Pamela tweeted: "If Ali's misdiagnoses of Emma puts her in hospital, I'm having him struck off."
Glenn said: "Ever the professional doctor Ali."
Jehan wrote: "Ali is wrong and should have examined Emma. He'll pay for that."
And Michelle tweeted: "Even Gary knows it's not tummy ache. Ali's a c*** doctor he should examine her!"
Upon returning from their date, Maria and Gary found Emma slumped on the floor.
Rushing her to A&E, it was revealed Emma had an eruption of the appendix and with the delay she most likely has an infection.
