ITV Coronation Street fans bash 'repeated' storyline as Kelly and Aadi grow closer

Coronation Street fans bashed the ITV soap tonight for "repeating" a storyline.

Tonight's episode saw Kelly Neelan, played by Millie Gibson, grow closer to Aadi Alahan, played by Adam Hussain. The friends made out they were planning a wedding to try and scoop a ‘Win a Dream Wedding’ competition for the holiday.

Kelly reassured Aadi that they wouldn't actually get married, they'd just enjoy the 'Honeymoon' together. However, they were surprised to discover that they would have to pass several rounds to win the free trip.

However, fans on Twitter weren't impressed and accused the ITV soap of "recycling" the storyline. John said: "#Kelly and #Aadi using a recycled script from #Norris and #Mary come on writers we deserve so much better than this #Corrie."

Owen said: "Didn't Norris and Mary do something similar to this with Aadi and Kelly? #Corrie." Meanwhile, Sean said: "Can't believe Kelly and Aadi are literally repeating the Mary and Norris storyline. #Corrie."

Back in 2017, Mary Taylor and Norris Cole entered a competition to win a trip to see her son, Jude. However there was a huge twist when Jude actually attended the fake wedding.
