Coronation Street fans were ecstatic after a character, who was feared missing, returned on tonight's installment.
Simon Barlow hasn't been seen on the show for months, leaving some viewers to speculate he might have gone to university or worse, if he was dead.
His last significant appearance was in June 2019, when he joined Peter and Carla on a trip to Carlisle.
Over the past couple of months, fans have tweeted the show, asking where Simon is.
One said: "Has missing Simon Barlow joined the navy?"
And Emma Louise tweeted: "Where is Simon?"
However, he reappeared on tonight's show following Bertie's dash to hospital.
Daniel discovered Bertie barely conscious in his cot and urged Peter to call an ambulance.
As the paramedic quizzed Daniel about the rash on Bertie’s back, Daniel blamed himself for not noticing the rash and calling an ambulance sooner.
When the consultant confirmed that Bertie has measles, Daniel’s was beside himself and admitted to Peter and Beth that he didn’t take him back for the rest of his vaccinations.
As Bertie remained in hospital, the rest of his family came to support Daniel - including Simon.
Viewers were stunned by his reappearance, taking to Twitter.
Daniel said: "We haven’t seen Simon for ages."
Shaun Ely wrote: "It’s good to see Simon back."
Another user said: "Oh Simon is still alive."
