ITV Coronation Street blunder spotted as homeless Stu betrays Corey

Coronation Street fans spotted a blunder in tonight's episode as homeless Stu betrayed Corey Brent.

Friday's hour long episode of the popular soap brought about a new twist in the dramatic saga of Seb Franklin's murder.

Kelly Neelan was wrongly convicted of the crime earlier this year as the real perpetrator, Corey Brent, walked free.

Homeless Stu tricked Corey during scenes in tonight's Coronation Street (ITV)

Nina Lucas and Asha Alahan have refused to give up on their fight for justice - and happened upon a stoke of luck in Wednesday's episode when Homeless Stu walked into Asha's shop.

Asha immediately noticed how the character, played by Bill Fellows, was wearing a bag that belonged to Corey, but was unable to convince him to give her the rucksack.

Corey's bag is important evidence that could link him to the murder of Seb Franklin as it contains his blood soaked clothes from the night of the attack.

Homeless Stu witnessed him throw the bag into the river and threatened to blackmail Corey as he said he would give him the rucksack back for the right price.

Tonight's episode showed the exchange as Stu traded the bag with Corey for cash.

But, unbeknownst to Corey, Stu had already removed the clothes linking him to the crime to give it to Nina and Asha.

Fans watching the show went into meltdown as the Wetherfield villain may finally be about to get his comeuppance.

However, other fans on Twitter have been distracted by the bag - and pointed out it was in spotless condition despite it being retrieved from the river.

Jodie said: "That bag is very clean for being in the river hmm."

Daz added: "That black rucksack doesn't look like it's been in a canal."

Andy commented: "That rucksack still looks brand new!"

Colin posted: "That rucksack looked new for being in the river."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITVHub
