ITV, Channel 4 and Freeview down with viewers reporting issues

ITV and Channel 4 viewers have been struggling to watch TV as the networks appear to be down.

Freeview users are also reporting issues on Thursday afternoon.

Reports of issues with ITV rocketed just before 2.30pm according to outage monitor DownDetector.

Channel 4's problems appeared to begin slightly earlier at 2pm.

The majority of the issues are being reported as 'live channel' with users being given a warning that the channels have "no signal".

A lot of the reports are concentrated to the London area with others in Manchester.

And people have been flocking to social media to see what's going on.

"Why has @FreeviewTV gone down for @ITV @channel5_tv @Channel4," @darrenspursfan tweeted.

@KevinWittering said: "ITV and Channel4 down in London #itvdown."

"Any one else's terrestrial TV gone down???? #freeview," @cassyofLondon added.

Virgin Media is also responding to complaints about its own service.

They tweeted earlier today: "We’re aware of an issue currently affecting TV services and are working hard to resolve this as quickly as possible."
