ITV cancels The Chase and Tipping Point on Wednesday in change to daily schedule

The Chase viewers will be unable to get their fix today as the show has been taken off the ITV schedule.

The Chase is a staple show on ITV airing at 5pm every weekday, with an army of fans tuning in to see if The Chaser or team will win.

ITV have also cancelled Tipping Point with host Ben Shephard at 4pm.

Both shows have been taken off the air for a very important reason.

Instead of the quiz shows, ITV will air the inauguration of the new President of the United States Joe Biden.

Tom Bradby will present an ITV News special from Washington DC as Joe Biden becomes President of the United States.

The ceremony will see Joe Biden sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, and Kamala Harris will take the oath of office as the new Vice President.

Biden has previously said he wants to "heal divisions" in the country as President Trump leaves office.

It's unknown if Trump will be present at the ceremony tomorrow.

The inauguration will air on ITV from 4pm-6pm and it will also be shown on BBC1 during the same time frame.

The Chase will then return to screens on Thursday at the usual time of 5pm.
