ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers furious with Simon Cowell and say they're 'done' with show

Furious Britain's Got Talent viewers have refused to watch the rest of the series after the 'best' act didn't get through. The ITV talent show was back on screens on Tuesday night (May 31) for the second of five semi-final live shows.

The episode got underway with a montage showing hosts Ant and Dec go back in time in a Back To The Future style video shot outside of the Hammersmith Apollo, where the semi-final shows are being held as well as this Sunday's grand final.

The opening sequence saw the cast of the stage production introduce the Geordie duo before they then announced that the stage show would be back later on in the show to perform . Among the acts to take to the stage were schoolboy comedian Dante Marvin, Voices of the Armed Forces Children Choir, and nine-year old magician Ryland Petty.

Also on the bill were Ranger Chris and escapologist Andrew Basso with the second show being kicked off by Amber and the Dancing Collies. But after all the performances, it was impressionist Ben Nickless and musical duo Flintz and Taylor, who were fast tracked to the semi-final with Alesha Dixon's golden buzzer, who have made it to the BGT final.

They will join busker Maxwell Thorpe and 13-year-old ventriloquist Jamie Leahey for one last performance in a bid to win £250,000 as well as a spot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

However, the decision hasn't gone down well with all ITV viewers with some threatening to stop watching the show after Amber and her talented pups didn't make it through to the next stage.

@donna__evans5873 said: "What a shambles tonight was ...the dogs were the best by far...I thought the impressionist was rubbish...so disappointed..won't be watching again." @connors_version echoed: "Not watching this now, the impressionist wasnt the best, and more deserving acts were robbed of a place."

@issibel28 wrote: "That's it.... no more bgt for me. The dogs act was the best of them all and as usual they choose wrong." @hannahoconnell.xo argued: "sorry but amber and her amazing talent with her dogs deserved to go through, all acts were really good but she has talent beyond talent and deserves a final spot."

@loisbirkinshaw said: "I can't understand how someone who trains their dogs that well doesn't get through to the finals." @swizzlethatch fumed: "The dog act was the best performance what a fix you wanted talent and those dogs were pure talent you screwed up bgt #BGT."

And it was Simon Cowell who got the blame after choosing the musical duo over the dancing dogs. @RedknapLisa said: "Can't forgive you for that Simon. Yeah young lads good but come on. As a collie owner the work and commitment it takes to train a dog and they are so clever and happy. Different class. Very let down by you... #BGT."

@15mel03 commented: "Best act of the night on #bgt, and what was Simon on about, saying better with one dog, I thought it was amazing." @sadie_kime tweeted: "#BGT sort it out! Amber and her beautiful dogs totally deserved the put through! Simon's poor excuse of should have stuck with one dog when for years he's said more is better....... have a word with yourself mate!"

Amber, 25, put on an incredible pirate-themed dance routine alongside her two Border Collies, Nymeria and Ruby. They performed to the Pirate of the Caribbean theme tune as the two dogs wowed the crowd, judges, and those watching at home with their tricks.
