ITV Britain's Got Talent fans love hilarious minister from Bootle

Britain's got Talent fans were left in stitches tonight by a Scouse comedian, who is also a baptist minister.

Allan Finnegan, 52, appeared on the BGT stage in his dog collar and spoke to the judges about his profession.

Allan admitted he came to the job late in life and said he "wasn't very good at it".

He started off his act and the jokes turned saucy as he compared his 30 year marriage to his bank card - saying it was contactless.

The Bootle minister spoke about having to learn Greek and Hebrew while training to become a vicar and said previously the only Greek he had known was "Stavros, who does my kebab."

Allan had the audience laughing out of their chairs and people at home also thought he was very funny.

Lucy said: "Aw a Scouser making us all laugh that’s what we like, representing our boss city."

Ash said: "Love the Rev (crying laughing emoji)"

Kelle Salle said: "Who would have thought that a minister would be this funny."

And Donny Rhodes said: "So what church is he from, if he's this funny on a Sunday I'm becoming religious haha."

The judges were impressed by the minister with David Walliams saying: "You were super funny and memorable."

Alesha called him a "breath of fresh air", Amanda admitted he made her "want to go to church."

And Simon said: "The audience love you, you've got four yeses."

*BGT continues at 8pm on ITV next Saturday
