ITV Britain's Got Talent crowd boos at Ant and Dec announcement

The ITV Britain's Got Talent crowd met Ant and Dec's announcement with angry-sounding boos near the end of Wednesday's semi final. It was the third live show of the week as the talented acts tried to make it through to to Sunday's finale. The day before, judge Simon Cowell had met with fans' disapproval after he voted against Amber and the Dancing Collies, in favour of musical duo Fitz and Taylor.

Acts in the third Britain's Got Talent semi included The Freaks, the creepy but captivating acrobats who wowed the judges with their audition, as well as The Dots, and Tom Ball and Eva Abley, the acts who ended up making it through. It was down to Ant and Dec to deliver the results and, there was one in particular that was met with anger from the audience, reports Chronicle Live. This was young singer Immi Davis not getting through. As the Geordie duo revealed that she was going home, loud boos echoed the Eventim Apollo in London, where the semi finals are being held.

When the camera cut to the judges panel, both Simon, who earlier had ordered Immi to sing some of her song again but acapella and Amanda Holden looking shocked. There were also boos, although not quite on the same level, when it was announced that Dane Bates Collective had also not made it through.

Singer Tom Ball got the most public votes on Wednesday and it then came down to the judges to pick between comedian Eva and Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer act Keiichi Iwasaki on who would join him in the final. And, although his vote was redundant give that David, Alesha and Amanda had already voted for Eva, Simon said that Immi should have been there too, hinting that "one or two wildcards," might be needed for the final.
