ITV Britain's Got Talent audience boos announcement by Ant and Dec

TV presenters Ant and Dec were met with boos during last night's edition of Britains Got Talent. The boos came after the Geordie duo made a shock announcement and could clearly be heard during the live show reports Leicestershire Live.

The boos took place during the third live semi-final show on ITV where a selection of acts attempted to get through to the grand final, which will air on Sunday, June 5. Some of the acts included an acrobatic troupe called The Freaks and a singer called Immi Davis, but not all of the performers got through to the final.

The acrobatic troupe got through to the final as well as The Dots, Tom Ball and Eva Abley, but then the audience reacted when the duo read out the results. The result confirmed that singer Immi would not be going through to the final. Instantly the audience began booing the results and could be heard during the show making their feelings on the decision clear.

The decision left the judges in shock, too. Simon Cowell during the night had ordered Immi to sing some of her song again but a capella, looked very surprised, while Amanda Holden was similarly shocked. They were not the only boos on the night, with some more being heard when it was announced that the Dane Bates Collective was also going home.

It was singer Tom Ball who secured the most public votes on Wednesday, with it then coming down to the judges to pick between comedian Eva and Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer act, Keiichi Iwasaki, on who would join Tom in the final. Eva was voted through, but Simon hinted that last night may not be the last viewers have heard of Immi.

Britain's Got Talent continues tonight on ITV
