ITV bosses have denied Phillip Schofield ordered Amanda Holden to be banned from This Morning.
Telly bosses have waded into the long-running row after the feud reignited last month with fresh claims Phillip had blocked Amanda from getting a job on the show.
He was said to have branded her "difficult to manage" and insisted the temporary gig filling in for Holly Willoughby during I'm A Celebrity went to Rochelle Humes instead.
However, chiefs at ITV have now insisted Phillip does not have the power to dictate who goes on This Morning.
They told The Sun Online: "These reports are completely untrue. Presenters don't make decisions regarding who appears on the show."
Amanda's claims stemmed from a TV executive telling The Sun that Phillip "blocked Amanda's chances" of being his co-host in Holly's absence when she was in the I'm A Celebrity jungle last year.
Heart FM breakfast DJ Amanda reportedly took her concerns to ITV boss Kevin Lygo, with a former daytime TV executive revealing that "Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced".
This was despite it being alleged that Amanda had been told in private that "she'd got the gig".
The TV executive went on to reveal that Amanda "feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion".
It has been reported that Amanda was told that Rochelle had been given the role "because she was easier to 'manage' on air".
Since then Amanda revealed she had reached out an olive branch to Schofe which she claimed he'd ignored.
ITV said in a statement about the fracas: "Presenter line-ups on This Morning change regularly. Final decisions are made by producers, not presenters.
"Phillip is a much-loved broadcaster and part of the ITV family. He's a consummate professional.
"Amanda is also held in high regard as a judge on one of our biggest shows."
