ITV has announced Emmerdale will air at a later time than previously announced tonight.
The broadcaster has amended its schedule in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death. Buckingham Palace confirmed Her Majesty died aged 96 on Thursday, September 8.
The schedule has been amended as a mark of respect as programmes have been honoured to mark the Queen's legacy as the nation mourns her passing. ITV confirmed earlier today that Emmerdale will return to our screens tonight.

The channel previously stated an hour long episode would be broadcast at 8.05pm. However, a further announcement has been released to confirm Emmerdale will now broadcast 30 minutes later and start at 8.35pm.
The episode will now be 30 minutes long as a special broadcast entitled Charles, The Monarch and the Man will begin at at 9.05pm. Presented by Jonathan Dimbleby, this documentary looks back at the achievements of the man who is now our King.
From the announcement of his birth onwards, the then Prince lived out his life in front of newsreel and television cameras. The programme draws on that rich archive of moving images to portray the Prince’s ‘search’ for a role as heir; and to suggest from a very personal perspective, what kind of monarch he will be.
ITV has been announcing its listings day by day during the mourning period, with Wednesday's listings expected later tonight.
