ITV has confirmed Vanessa Woodfield will return to Emmerdale tonight.
The character has not been seen on the long-running soap since May 2020 as actress Michelle Hardwick took time away from the show to have her first child.
However, the 45-year-old has rejoined the show and is set to make an appearance on Wednesday's episode.

Michelle announced the exciting news in a clip posted on the show's official Instagram page.
The post said: "On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me... The return of a special someone! Don't miss it, tonight at 7pm"
Vanessa has endured a turbulent time in the Yorkshire Dales as she has been a part of dramatic storylines such as when she was held hostage by a murderer and attacked by an arsonist.
She is set to become embroiled in the storyline with Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd - and fans flooded the comments to share their excitement ahead of her return.
