ITV Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow viewers appalled by racist tweets

Viewers of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow have said they are appalled with a flurry of racist tweets aimed at the ITV show.

Fans tuned in on Saturday evening, many wanting to tweet along live with the show as Alan Carr recreated the classic Strike It Lucky,

But many were disgusted with the hashtag as some had used it to comment on the fact none of the contestants were white.

Fans condemned the comments and looked to call them out, @_NatashaCloughsaid: "Come to check Twitter to see if anyone else can't believe how easy the questions are only to find disgusting racist comments towards the contestants. What is wrong with people honestly."

@WebbLaurien said: "The racist a******** in the #AlanCarr thread make me furious and sick to my stomach. Absolute load of wasters, the lot of you! Can't believe what I'm reading."

@beppatweets said: "I just knew the “I’m not racist” folks will be out pretending to be for diversity, outraged at the on the rare occasion there’s an all black panel but oddly the same people are silent when it’s an all white panel every week, strange flex."

@orxnmcclintock said: "Curious to why Alan Carr was in my trending tab, turns out people are actually upset that black people are on TV game show."

@MRSJ311014 said: "#AlanCarr #alancarrsepicgameshow have these racist scumbags thought how the people on the show would feel reading the vile spewings. I hate people!!!"

*Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow is on ITV1 Saturdays from 8.30pm
