After the national tragedy of failing to qualify for last summer’s World Cup, Italy side continue their road to Euro 2020 against Liechtenstein tonight.
Roberto Mancini’s new-look side got off to the perfect start with a comfortable win over Finland in Udine on Saturday, and will be hoping for more of the same in Parma tonight.
The visitors lost their opener at home to Greece, and were thumped by an aggregate score of 9-0 when they met tonight’s opponents during World Cup 2018 qualification.
Mancini looks likely to shuffle his pack, continuing to experiment ahead of key games against Greece and Bosnia & Herzegovina in June.
Prediction
Minnows Liechtenstein were the whipping boys of their World Cup qualification group, conceding 39 goals and scoring just once. It’s hard to look past a thrashing here.
Prediction: Italy 5-0 Liechtenstein
