Italy boss Roberto Mancini sends message to Moise Kean after Everton star's U21s red card

Italy senior manager Roberto Mancini has commented on Moise Kean's recent red card after the Everton striker was sent off on U21 duty earlier this week.

The Blues star was in action against Republic of Ireland U21s on Thursday but saw his evening cut short after being dismissed for an altercation with Tottenham Hotspur's Troy Parrott.

The pair clashed after a challenge with the latter pushing Kean in the chest, before the 19-year-old reacted in the same manner. Both youngsters were sent off by the referee.

And now Italy's first-team manager Mancini has had his say on the incident, and claimed the Everton teenager needs to be careful.

"I’m sorry for yesterday’s expulsion," Mancini told reporters on Friday according to The 42.

"He was also unlucky. But he is always involved, he must be more careful."

Just last month Kean was omitted from the Italy senior squad by way of punishment after arriving late for a team meeting at the Euro Under-21 championships during the summer.

Mancini reamrked at the time: "Professionals must always behave well."

Kean has been involved in all eight of Everton's Premier League matches so far this season, starting two of them, but is yet to find the back of the net for his new club.
