Italian reports claim 49ers Enterprises involved in Andrea Radrizzani's Sampdoria takeover

Reports coming out of Italy claim the 49ers Enterprises are part of Andrea Radrizzani's takeover bid for Serie B side Sampdoria. The recently relegated side has been subject of a bid from the current Leeds United majority shareholder.

However, according to Italian daily Il Secolo XIX, the 49ers are involved in the deal. The report claims Paraag Marathe, who is president of 49ers Enterprises and executive vice president of football operations, is taking care of the 49ers’ involvement in the deal.

Various other reports have linked Paris Saint-Germain’s owners, QSI, with a role in the takeover at La Samp, while another claims they could also invest in Leeds United. The recent report claims the Qatari's are in touch with Radrizzani, but they'll assist once the takeover has been given the green light.

Radrizzani's future at Elland Road is up in the air following the Whites' relegation to the Championship. The current owner helped mastermind the club's return to the top flight, but supporters also feel he's played a role in their return to the second tier with a number of poor decisions.
