An Italian man who was left paralysed after a horrific incident in Dublin in 1999 wants to meet with the man who attacked him.

Guido Nasi was just 17-years-old when he was hit over the head with a bottle by James Osbourne.

The incident, which took place in Fairview Park 20 years ago, left the Italian with life-changing injuries.

Guido was chasing after someone who had stolen his wallet at the time when Osbourne smashed a beer bottle on his head.

His attacker was jailed for eight and a half years after pleading guilty to recklessly causing serious harm to Guido and was released from prison in 2008.

The Italian man has said to be up for the idea of meeting with Osbourne as it will help him move on from the attack.

The Turin native was reportedly given professional advice which said that it could be a good option to try and meet with Osbourne.
