Italian giants reportedly keen on Swansea City forward Andre Ayew - but on one condition

Serie A side Sampdoria are keen on a loan move for Swansea City forward Andre Ayew.

That's according to the Daily Star , who claim Werder Bremen have also been keeping a close eye on the Ghanaian, and could be keen on completing a move ahead of the close of the European transfer window on September 2.

However, there is a big stumbling block.

Both clubs reportedly want Swansea to contribute to Ayew's wages, which are believed to be in excess of £80,000 a week.

Ayew, who spent last season out on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahce, has recently made a lively return to the first team, sparking questions over whether he could yet have a role in Steve Cooper's plans.

A stay at SA1 hasn't been ruled out, although the player's wages have previously been deemed as "financially crippling" by chairman Trevor Birch and the Swans' hierarchy.

Should the right offer come in, Ayew is still likely to be moved on, but the Swans are unlikely to entertain the potential of paying a chunk of the player's wages as part of any loan move.
