Italian giants AC Milan 'lining up shock move' for Nottingham Forest star

Nottingham Forest ace Matty Cash is reportedly being targeted by Italian giants AC Milan.

The Nigel Doughty Academy product has been in fine form for the Reds so far this season, impressing at right-back and helping his team climb to fifth in the Championship table.

He was linked with Premier League Everton prior to signing a new three-and-a-half-year deal at the City Ground in November.

And Football Insider claim he is now on the radar of AC Milan, who are “lining up a shock move” as they look to cover for injured full-back Davide Calabria.

The report says: “A Milan source has told Football Insider that the club are plotting a late window swoop for Cash after being impressed by his performances for Forest.

“Milan are ready to test the Championship giants’ resolve to keep the right-back with a move this month.”

Cash has racked up 29 appearances in the Garibaldi so far this season, scoring twice.

When he put pen to paper on his new Forest contract, he commented on the speculation about his future.

“I’m grounded as a person,” he said at the time. “I’ve signed this new contract but I already want the next contract.

“I don’t listen to any of that (talk). I’m a Forest player and I want my future to be here.”
