Italian club chief makes big Tottenham and Liverpool claim amid Dusan Vlahovic transfer links

Lecce chief Pantaleo Corvino thinks Dusan Vlahovic has the quality to be a starter at either Tottenham, Liverpool or Juventus.

Corvino, who was the CEO at Fiorentina when Vlahovic joined the Italian club in 2018 from Partizan Belgrade, has been speaking about the striker, who enjoyed a superb season for the Florence-based club.

The 21-year-old scored 21 goals in 37 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina, and such a return has seen his value on Transfermarkt increase to £36million.

Spurs have been linked with Vlahovic, with Calciomercato.it (via Sport Witness ) reporting that the Serbian striker has been singled out by Fabio Paratici to become the director of football's first signing in north London.

If he did move to Tottenham, then he would become a key player, according to Corvino - who rubbished claims he could be too young to be an integral player in the capital.

Speaking to Tuttosport, he said: “Vlahovic is a starter – quality has no age.

“Vlahovic could now play as a centre-forward for both Juventus and Liverpool or Tottenham.”

The aforementioned report from Calciomercato claims that Fiorentina will demand around €60m (£51.3m) for the Serbian after his unbelievable 2020/21 campaign.

Vlahovic still has two years remaining on his deal in Florence, so the Italian club are in no rush to sell their striker.

Spurs currently have Harry Kane as their first-choice centre-forward, but his future at the club is uncertain following months of speculation.

Reports on Monday suggested that Manchester City have launched a £100m bid for Kane, but football.london understands that is not the case - and there will be no official move until after the Euro 2020 campaign.

Carlos Vinicius was Kane's understudy, but his deal in N17 was only temporary and the north Londoners look unlikely to pursue a permanent contract for the Brazilian forward.
