Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok welcomes Ludovico de Vivo, the executive chef of Capofaro restaurant in Italy, from Nov 22-24.

Born in Salerno, de Vivo has had extensive international experience which includes stints at Noma in Copenhagen; Mont Cervin Palace in Zermatt, Switzerland; and Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck in London. Back in his native country of Italy, his portfolio includes the Grand Hotel in Amalfi; Oliver Glowig's restaurant at the Capri Palace Hotel in Anacapri; and currently Capofaro Resort on the southern Italian island.
As a guest chef at Rossini's Italian restaurant in Bangkok, de Vivo will, over the three-day visit, be cooking up a series of gourmet set lunches and dinners. Featured dishes include Australian beef tartar with anchovy sauce, black olives and bread; potato and rosemary soup; raw Sicilian prawn with candied lemon, cauliflower, yoghurt sauce and caper; and amberjack with red peppers chutney and charred onion sauce.
On Nov 23, there's a special Tasca d'Almerita Wine & Dine Dinner, in which guests will be treated to de Vivo's highlighted culinary creations, including red mullet Beccafico style with lemon fruit sauce and chickpeas; cream of fava beans with onions and grape musts; risotto with tomato consommé capers and almond; soft pork belly with vegetables; and lamb with tomato and pistachio. Complementing the meal is a selection of fine wine from Wine Gallery
A 3-course menu costs 2,400 baht per person; the 4-course menu is priced at 2,850 baht per person; and the 5-course, 3,500 baht. Wine-pairing packages are also available. The Tasca d'Almerita Wine & Dine Dinner on Nov 23 is priced at 3,900 baht per person inclusive of pairing wines.
