Italian Celtic fan channels Scott Brown spirit in fight against coronavirus as defiant radiographer shows Hoops pride

An Italian radiographer has emblazoned his hospital PPE with Scott Brown 's name and number as the Celtic-daft health worker takes the fight to Covid.

Giuseppe Scappatura works at the Azienda Ospedaliera Bianchi Melacrino Morelli Hospital in Calabria and is clearly a big fan of the Hoops and their captain.

Italy was one of the worst affected countries on earth when the coronavirus first hit in the early months of the year and medical staff are still fighting to contain its spread.

He sent the image to Hoops fan Twitter account Celtic news now.

They posted: "Italian radiographer Giuseppe Scappatura sent in this photo of himself in full PPE – he's a big fan of @CelticFC and captain @ScottBrown8, as you can see. Giuseppe works with COVID patients at Azienda Ospedaliera Bianchi Melacrino Morelli Hospital in Calabria. Hail Hail!"

No doubt Giuseppe will be keeping a close eye on his heroes as they face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final tomorrow afternoon.

The match isn't on Italian television but the intrepid medic will be sure to find a way to cheer on Neil Lennon's side.
