It won't stop raining until SUNDAY as Leeds faces six more days of downpours

If you thought the weather over the weekend was bad, then you're in for a shock.

Forecasters are predicting that it's not going to stop raining for another SIX days in Leeds, with downpours expected to last until Sunday.

So much for summer...

We're approaching the time of year when the days are at their longest - which usually means scorching hot temperatures and, if we're lucky, perhaps even a mini-heatwave.

But that seems like a distant dream at the moment, with the never-ending cycle of light drizzle and heavy downpours set to continue for the rest of the week at least, according to The Weather Channel.

If you're a sucker for punishment, then here's what we're in for this week.

Things are forecast to pick up a little bit at the start of next week, with the rain and clouds clearing by Monday as summery weather is finally expected to return to Leeds.

We could even see temperatures rise into the twenties too, but we've got a whole lot of rain heading our way before then.
