'It was Derby not Barcelona' - Nottingham Forest ace's blunt verdict on stalemate

Skipper Joe Worrall admitted Nottingham Forest were left disappointed not to take all three points against arch-rivals Derby County.

The Reds had to settle for a 1-1 draw as James Garner’s opener was cancelled out by a late strike from Colin Kazim-Richards.

The stalemate maintained Forest’s good run of form, but having created more chances after taking the lead, Worrall says there is a sense of frustration at not claiming a victory.

Asked if not losing the game was a sign Chris Hughton’s side are heading in the right direction, he told Sky Sports: “Yeah, let’s not kid ourselves, though. We didn’t play Barcelona, it was Derby.

“We need to really stamp our authority on the game and come away with three points.

“Fair play to them, it was a great goal from Kazim-Richards.

“We are disappointed, make no bones about it. But when they smash in a goal from 20 yards out, you’ve got to take it on the chin.

“Not to lose the game is a big positive and some of the performances in our team were very good.”

Worrall added: “We are disappointed, to be honest.

“They’re a good team, they play some nice football and build out from the back well.

“We had to be patient. It was a bit edgy at the start of the game.

“Jimmy Garner getting his strike gave us a bit more belief and confidence, and I thought we had some really good spells in the game.

“I thought Knockaert was excellent today.

“We’re disappointed not to get the three points.”
