Some GCSE pupils were left upset by their Chemistry paper - taking to social media saying it was ‘basically maths’. The first AQA Chemistry exam took place this morning (Monday, May 22).
But some were a bit worried about how they had answered the questions - feeling like it was more mathermatics than chemical compounds. Most seemed to think it had got off to an easy start - but then became much much harder, MyLondon reports.

The AQA Chemistry Paper 1 included topics one to five of the GCSE syllabus, featuring Atomic structure and the periodic table; Bonding, structure, and the properties of matter; Quantitative chemistry, Chemical changes; and Energy changes. Paper 2 is scheduled to be sat on Tuesday, June 13.
This will feature topics six to ten, including the rate and extent of chemical change; Organic chemistry; Chemical analysis, Chemistry of the atmosphere; and Using resources.
