Solway Yacht Club held their annual open day at Kippford on Sunday.
The club offered free boat trips around the Urr Estuary on cruisers, rigid inflatable powerboats, sailing dinghies and a racing catamaran.
The cadets put on a display of the sailing skills they have learned through the club’s training programme and the club was delighted to have a visit from the Kippford RNLI lifeboat. The clubhouse was open to visitors and Finlay Carson MSP was the VIP visitor. More than 100 people got out on the water, with a good many taking up the special on-the-day membership offer.
