It took 1 inning for MLB fans to start trolling the Orioles

The Orioles recorded one of the worst seasons in modern baseball history in 2018, losing a staggering 115 games, and there’s not much reason for optimism on Opening Day for Baltimore fans. The Orioles begin the year with a largely unknown and unproven roster, and the powerhouse New York Yankees needed just a few at-bats to put O’s in a hole to begin the season.

After Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton hit singles off Opening Day starting pitcher Andrew Cashner in the bottom of the first, Luke Voit mashed a three-run home run to center field on a 3-1 slider.

The Orioles quickly became the subject of a public roast on social media, just minutes into the 2019 season.

Despite the grim outlook for the Orioles this year, several bettors put money on Baltimore to win the 2019 World Series, and one fan even bet on the Orioles to have the best record in baseball.
