It’s hardly the full justice he deserves but after years of writing about him, it’s deeply satisfying to type out the words “Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor“. Yup, the Andrew formerly known as Prince has been shoved off his royal perch, is now down in the muck with the rest of us “commoners”, and faces eviction from his opulent manor.
King Charles’ decision to strip Andrew of his titles, privileges, and home came after yet more horrible revelations about his brother’s close links with the modern era’s most notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, including the jaw-dropping claim he tried to use British police resources to smear his victim, Virginia Giuffre.
So, what does fellow Epstein buddy Donald Trump make of all this? Perhaps some sympathy for Epstein and Mountbatten Windsor’s victims? Praise for Charles taking action against his horrible brother? Perhaps some self-reflection that Andrew’s present may well be Trump’s future?
Nah. As always, Trump’s sympathies aren’t with the victims, but with the wealthy parasites of the British royal family. While speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One late last night, he was asked about Andrew’s situation and said:
Trump on Prince Andrew and the Epstein scandal: "I feel very badly. I mean, it's a terrible thing that's happened to the family. That's been a tragic situation. And it's too bad. I feel badly for the family." pic.twitter.com/oX2OghKAEz

“I feel very badly. I mean, it’s a terrible thing that’s happened to the family. That’s been a tragic situation. And it’s too bad. I feel badly for the family.”
Truly, it is time to bring out the world’s tiniest violin and play a squeaky little song of mourning for the British royal family, who have finally and belatedly taken action against a man who was not only Epstein’s best bud, but also tortured animals, abused royal staff, and threw around the N-word like it was going out of style.
Yes, Donald, the royal family are the real victims…
I mean, the entire world has only known for the best part of a decade that Andrew repeatedly visited Epstein’s pedophile island, and everyone saw photographic evidence of him smirking with his arm around the underage Virginia Giuffre while Ghislaine Maxwell grinned in the background.
But sure, let’s feel sorry for the royal family. I’m sure this situation must be very difficult for them. Maybe they can find a quiet room in one of their gigantic palaces to weep in, with a servant ready and waiting with a hanky to wipe away their tears.
All we can hope for now is that Andrew is successfully extradited to the United States to face questioning under oath about what he knew about Epstein’s affairs. Maybe that’s information that might implicate a certain president who’s furious that this story just won’t disappear….
