It's time for NACC to stop being a lap dog

The indecision of the National Anti-Corruption Commission to rule on the ownership of 22 luxury watches seen on the wrist of Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon on different occasions was a big letdown although the outcome was not totally unexpected.

There were signs from the very beginning that this anti-graft watchdog would be just a lap dog when it came to taking on a powerful man like Gen Prawit that even Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chose to maintain his silence all along while criticism of the former's wristwatches went viral in social media for months.
