It's time for Charles Sale to fill the vacant BBC sports editor post

None has been a more faithful chronicler of the vagaries of the BBC sports editor post than Daily Mail sports diarist Charles Sale. Sale was highly critical of the departed Mihir Bose and today reports that the BBC demanding "huge list of skills" for his replacement, including the "barmy requirement" that the successful applicant move to Manchester one year before the 2012 Olympics.
