It’s Tiger vs. Jack in ‘The Open for the Ages’ finale

They’re calling it “The Open for the Ages,” featuring “Real Action. Real drama. Reimagined.”

Sunday’s finale will pit Tiger Woods against Jack Nicklaus at the Open Championship, which is the best we can hope for because the real thing got canceled due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.

The 149th Open Championship at Royal St. George’s would have been this week, with the final round set for this Sunday.

In its place is this creative, re-imagined final round which will have:

Real footage from past Championships at the Old Course has been expertly edited and woven together with modern graphics and new commentary to produce a compelling narrative, designed to recreate the drama of an Open final round.

This special uses archive footage from past Championships at St Andrews dating back to 1970.

Setting up the final day in this make-believe world is Tiger and Jack each getting to 12 under after the third round. They will now go “head-to-head for the first time in a celebratory edition of golf’s original major.”
