Slightly off the beaten track and with an unassuming exterior, many people will have passed by The Attic bar without realising it’s there.
But now the small venue is listed as the best bar in Liverpool on TripAdvisor.
The Attic currently ranks in the top spot of ‘Bars and Pubs’ in Liverpool on the reviews website, with a huge majority of people rating it as ‘excellent’.
From the outside it is a blink and you’ll miss it type venue - a single doorway, on a building painted dark grey, with just a tiny yellow sign sticking out to let customers know where to find out.
It sits above the Parr Street studios where Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Drake, Coldplay and Take That have recorded.
Inside there are plenty of nods to the recording studio below, with vinyl decorating the walls, neon signs and pictures of rock legends lining the wall as you head up the stairs.
The lights are low, the music loud and the cocktails freely poured, particularly during happy hour, which somehow lasts for four hours at a time.
Another thing you definitely won’t notice from ground level is its huge roof terrace. A bit of a hidden gem in Liverpool, it quickly fills up when the sun comes out - and goes down for that matter - with those who are in on the secret.
